Aer is an up-and-coming duo out of Wayland, Massachusetts. David von Mering and Carter Schultz have come together to create a sound that finds its roots in reggae, with smooth and offbeat guitar riffs that are reminiscent of bands like Slightly Stoopid and the Expendables. Though, it also incorporates the sound of acoustic pop and contemporary indie rock. The first single off of their mixtape, “Water On the Moon,” was released exclusively on goodmusicallday.com. It received notoriety on the Hype Machine charts before the mixtape was released. The mixtape, released in late Fall 2010, is expected to make major waves with its new take on a their genre.
