Monday-Friday from now on, I’m spotlighting a different one of the many great all-time producers. I will post a different track each day to show the versatility, influence, and talent these guys have come up with time and time again through the years.
The late great J Dilla starts it. Dilla is still not always given the respect he deserves. Look at his resume: straight bangers with any artists ranging from Common to De La Soul to Busta Rhymes to Janet Jackson.
His first break through was “Runnin’” which was released in ‘95 by hip-hop legends The Pharcyde. It’s a timeless anthem that still bumps today, it even had a dope vintage video to go along with it..
